Life Travels | London Adventure: V&A, Southbank and Wahaca

Tuesday 2 August 2016

london, museum, v&a, victoria and albert,

I'm back with a new blog post that I've been very excited to share with you. Over the bank holiday weekend my boyfriend and I headed off to London to celebrate his birthday early. He had never been before and I'm always up for a Fundon adventure, so with 3 days to see the city we jumped straight into sightseeing after hopping off the plane Saturday morning.

First up was the V&A Museum for a little wander around staring at old world artefacts. We didn't get a chance to go to any of the temporary exhibitions but it was still a nice visit looking around the museum's many halls filled with pieces from the four corners of the world.

After a nap for an hour or so back at the hotel we decided to have dinner at Wahaca on Southbank. On the walk down along the Thames we passed by skaters, performers, families and restaurants and bars buzzing with after-work drinks groups.

At Wahaca I opted for a delicious salad with no cheese and the boyfriend had a burrito concoction. It was a lovely combo of avo, pumpkin seeds, carrots, bulgar wheat, beans and a yummy light dressing.

Finally, to round of a perfect first day in London we strolled (well I hobbled with two blister ridden feet) back to the Tube along Southbank while the sun set on the skyline.

In the end I managed to get back to the hotel room with 4 blisters but very tired and very happy nonetheless!

I've got lots more about our London adventure to share so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by,
