Oh Fall New York Fashion Week 2013 (Part 1)

Saturday 9 February 2013

Hello lovelies,

Long time no see and I've got to say I'm glad to be back and ready. Exams are finished with for another few months and now I can relax and sit back to an episode of House without feeling guilty.

As we have come upon the week of fashion with NYFW and LFW just coming into full throttle I thought I'd provide you with a little taste of what has been shown in New York. And I must say I was very impressed by the number of adaptable collections featured that could be taken on by an everyday person.

Without further adieu I give you New York Fashion Week Part 1!

Tadashi Shoji is once again in my good books after his wonderful showing on Thursday. Still emulative of his Spring 2013 collection with beautiful levelling of hems, intricate patterns and floor length sweeping skirts Tadashi stepped it up with gorgeous deep tonal colours and heavy fabrics.

Almost as soon as I saw the extreme colour show going on at Concept Korea I knew I had something to write about. I'm not mad about the wearable-ness of the collection but it certainly is a breath of fresh air for this Fall and a rest from staying completely within the autumnal colour palette.

Ok so we are back to sophisticated edgy New York classics with Czar by Cesar Galindo. A surprising elegant aesthetic to this collection with both loose hemlines and working woman silhouette. Overall a very workable collection for the everyday woman.

Incorporating the sexy and glamorous woman with floor length uber-classy dresses and waist loving leather and black creations Carmen Marc Valvo has hit the fashion bull's eye with a very elegant collection that has just the slightest bit of a high fashion twist so as not to make it an overboard monstrosity of a look.

Ok so seeing as this post is getting quite full of photos and beginning to become the length of my arm I'm going to end it now and continue on with the wonderful creations of New York tomorrow perhaps.

I hope you enjoyed and as always thanks for reading,
Ciara.
